Sometimes the translations in this series really get to me. It‘s too overly simplistic in writing style at times. That being said, I‘ve read the greatest sentence:

If the communication array had been as confusing as a pot of stew earlier, the stew had now just toppled onto the ground and fed the dogs.

🤣💀

Poorly-lit Casey returns, alongside a Chinese fantasy I decided to bump up the list so I wouldn‘t have to haul it along on my next dogsitting gig. It‘s HEAVY.

It‘s also really good so far. I‘ve been back and forth on this book (which has been divided into five volumes for its English release; this is the fourth), but when it‘s on, it‘s both fun and emotional.

I‘m 100% a fan of this series. I love the world, the characters…the writing is so very beautiful as well. I particularly like that there are annotated notes to help the reader when it comes to Japanese culture and myth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. This is book 4 in the series.
