This book seemed to drag on. I was hoping it would be a bad ass secret women‘s society that wiped out unruly men and handed out justice like Halloween candy. Instead, it‘s a dialogue and text-heavy blame game that I pushed through just to get finished.

Honest review? Pass on it.

This was a twisty, dark thriller. It reminded me of her first novel Pretty Little Wife with a dash of The Collective. I read it in one day. Short chapters made it a quick read. There are multiple POV that didn't always transition smoothly but otherwise, I enjoyed this one. Jessa & Gabby have a complicated history. Their paths diverge after law school but the mysterious deaths of several wealthy scumbags brings them back together. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I ended up really looking this book. I liked it much better than Pretty Little Wife. This is a suspenseful, thriller about a secret society of vigilantes where no one can be trusted, not even those who are supposed to see that the justice system works properly. I found it engaging, I loved the narration and the twists at the end were unexpected! Everything I could ask for in this genre! Now, back to The Secret History. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just got this fresh off the press from Libby. I'm taking a short break from my chunkster, The Secret History, and indulging in guilty pleasure read.
