This was a fast-paced thriller with characters that you'll love to hate. Fiona is getting married and it's supposed to be the happiest day of her life. She wants nothing more than her new husband-to-be to fit into her carefully cultivated friend group. But Trevor is harboring secrets and they don't all belong to him. In fact, each of Fiona's friends has a good reason for wanting this marriage to fail. Fun, fast paced, page turner. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's not really a thriller but more of a domestic suspense but some parts of it triggered me. Especially, the relationship between Daphne and Jackson... Toxic isn't a strong enough word. Still, I love a good real housewives she drama every now and then and this fit the bill. ⭐⭐⭐✨

Wow, this book was insane! I'm the past, I have jumped in the McFadden bandwagon, but this book made me a believer! The characters were delectably hateable and it touched on some seriously intense issues tw: child abuse (don't want to spoil it), but it was done in such a way that it ended up satisfying. Definitely would be a good book club read. The twists in the end will give you whiplash and I loved the nod to Edgar A Poe. ⭐⭐⭐✨

I really, really liked this thriller. I'm a fan of some pretty dark thriller books, but the dry wit in this novel had me laughing out loud. Lucy has lived most of her adult life wondering if she killed her best friend Savvy. After Lucy moves on and leaves her hometown in the rearview mirror until a true crime podcaster comes behind to investigate Savvy's death. Very cool book. Loved the dialogue! 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨

I actually enjoyed this suspense from Michaelides! I see a lot of negative reviews but it satisfied my hunger for some twisted drama. I read this courtesy of #NetGalley and I did enjoy it. There were definitely posts where I was shaking my head at the drama of it all, but that's what it made it a fun and interesting read . 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Read this one immediately after it came out but it missed the mark a little imo. Rosie and Chad are happily married artists. Chad is a soon to be famous actor and Rosie is a writer. After Chad's Uncle Ivan passes away, the couple inherit Uncle Ivan's beautiful apartment in the Windermere a luxurious, old NY uptown building. It's a dream come true for the couple, until Rosie starts noticing strange things happening. Fell short & was just okay. ⭐⭐⭐✨

I grabbed this one on audio and so far, I'm really loving it! It's funny, witty, and smart. I love the unlikable main character and her family! Basically, Lucy's best friend Savvy (short for Savannah), was murdered and Lucy was found the next morning wandering around covered in Savvy's blood. Lucy has no memory of what happened that night and now cute podcaster is trying to solve the case. The characters are interesting and funny and I'm in it now

I'm reading this one, courtesy of #NetGalley and #BloomsburyUSA, and so far I'm really excited about this book. It bounces between 1999 and 2019, telling the story of a woman, Joy, whose rehashing the murder of her college roommate, Karlie. Joy is recently divorced after a horrible miscarriage. She's plagued by the memories of Karlie and she feels certain that the man arrested is innocent. Joy goes on a journey to find the truth. So far, so good!

Currently listening 🎧 to this on audio. I've gotten really engaged in Lenna and Rihannon's relationship and the hold that Rihannon seems to have over Lenna. Some of it seems a little implausible, as Lenna has left her family home and husband to go off into the desert with Rihannon but I'm hoping for enlightenment on this. I picked this up specifically because Brittney Presley is the narrator. Excited to see what's next!

This story is clearly based upon the 'Slenderman Stabbing' and really delves into Maddie's character as she's released from the psychiatric ward after 10+ years. Overall, it kept me turn pages, I was highly invested in the plot and in Maddie's salvation. While there were some disappointments, it was also a really engaging read. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Wow! What can I say about this book. I guess first I'll start with the trigger warnings- explicit sexual conduct, issues regarding sexual assault and consent. This book will have contemplating and asking questions about is right and what is just. Extremely powerful, yet so many mixed emotions entangled with it. I enjoyed this thriller even if it did have a bit of a slow start. Lots of twists and turns in this book. It's actually quite shocking in places. Overall, this was not my favorite read, because of the lies, manipulation, and gaslighting. It became convaluted in some parts and I was a little overwhelmed by the final twist. All in all ⭐⭐⭐

Listening to this one on audio now. Have a TBR stack taller than me but nothing like a good audiobook to relax into the evening with! Good night fellow bookworms!

This was a wild ride, impressed by this author! if you like twists, this is perfect for you. Haley has the opportunity to be a nanny to twins. This interests Haley as she's a college student studying child psychology and she's fascinated by the idea of how twins interact. The Smith's seem to be the perfect family living in a beautiful beach side mansion. Haley is asked to come watch the twins for just the evening and chaos ensues! Loved the book.

Thank you #netgalley for another page-turner. The setting was dark and twisty which is perfect for this slow burn thriller. I'm a little young to be a true blue Hitchcock fan, but I knew this book was loosely based on Vertigo, so I had some ideas of where the story was going. This helped me during the slow burn phase of this book, but I still found myself surprised by parts. Overall, I really enjoyed the read! 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book kept me on the edge of my seat right from the end of the first chapter. This is a story of toxic relationships and obsession. Carola Lovering did a great job in developing the characters and the concept is something that women can relate to. Billie and Cassie have different goals and aspirations and they've grown apart. Cassie made her peace with this, but Billie is left feeling abandoned by her former best friend. Solid 🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really enjoyed this New release from Michaelides. The narrator takes us on a journey that is part theater and part memoir. I really didn't expect a lot that happened. it was pleasantly surprising. The only thing I can complain about is that the narrator telling the story made the action less palpable somehow. It didn't seem exciting even the content was.. I guess it was just delivery that missed the mark a tiny bit for me. overall, WELL DONE!

I loved the premise of this book; it fell a little short for me. A women's secret society is a great start, but the secrets they were hiding were a bit cliche for my taste. In a book that's meant to encourage girl power, the stereotypical viewpoint of the women irked me. And the end didn't work for me at all, it was just so rushed and unrealistic. it just wasn't as interesting or fresh as I had hoped. Soft pick. ⭐⭐⭐✨

This was my fave Hawkins book yet. I wasn't totally sold by Hawkins on her last 2, but this book was filled with so many twists and turns I nearly broke my neck trying to keep up! Jewels and her husband Camden live a simply life, but neither's history is simple at all. Jewels convinces Camden to visit his childhood home, the Ashby House, previously owned by Camden's deceased adoptive mom, Ruby McTavish. And let the drama begin! LOVED IT! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⏬

This was actually a really good read. I usually enjoy the thriller's that are a part of Reese's Bookclub & this definitely lived up to the hype. Evie aka Lucca has been a diligent employee of Mr Smith's since trying to steal money from the rich to help her mom get breast cancer treatment. But who is Mr. Smith and how much should she trust him?? This is a great page turner, I loved the narration and the pacing was just right! Hard pick! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This book was just okay. I felt like the character was just making poor decisions throughout. It felt stereotypical. The content and idea was an interesting premise, but the writing left me dissatisfied. Overall, just okay. ⭐⭐⭐

This audiobook was fun but it didn't knock my socks off. I found myself hating all of the characters.. and it turns out there was a good reason for that! the pace was extremely slow and there weren't many thrilling aspects in this thriller..I enjoyed Vacker's narration but its also a context clue. The excitement didn't really get started until the last 25% of the book, that's just not good enough to warrant a better rating. Overall, just okay. ⭐⭐⭐

This book LITERALLY kept me up all night. Eve had redefined her life after the tragic loss of her mother, father, and baby brother in a brutal slaying committed by her older teenage brother when she was just 5 years old. After the killings, Eve's brother smashed his car into a tree and was rendered unconscious to present time. But is everything as it seems? This book is an up all nighter!! Getting in a few more thrillers before the end of the year. This one comes highly recommended on Goodreads, so I thought I would give it a try. The premise is very interesting so we'll see if it lives up to the hype!

This is the second book in the Convergence Saga and it did not disappoint. In this portion of the saga, it is known that monsters exist and there are both allies and enemies from humankind. I enjoyed this listen, thanks to #netgalley; although I hadn't listened to the first book in the series recently and had to go back to hear it again in order to better understand this sequel. If you loved the first book, you need to read this as well!

Began this preparing for a small Christmas break comes with books! I am interested to see where it will go. Ellen (Elles) appears to be an open book. Happy marriage, close relationship with her sister Kristy who lives with her, and mom to an unruly teenage daughter and two toddlers. But Ellen has secrets and someone is threatening to expose her. So far, I'm intrigued. Going to spend my holiday listening and reading as much as possible! Merry Xmas!

This book was slow at first, but definitely picked up with some interesting twists in the end. I like books that tie up all the life ends and this one did that. Some the choices Tash made were a bit shocking but not altogether unpredictable. I would recommend this one but it wasn't my all time fave or anything. 🌟🌟🌟✨

Started this one a few days ago and it's been a little slow from Natasha's POV, but from the POV of Sophie it's actually really quick. Basically, Natasha is a reporter researching the untimely death of Sophie. Sophie is a nanny for a wealthy family that Natasha knows. There is a whole 6 degrees of separation thing happening here. It's been good even if a little slow in certain areas and I'm pumped to see how it ends!

This book was so good. It definitely got me out of my little slump of unfinished TBR's. Nicole and Tom win 10 mil in the lottery, but some dreams become nightmares and when Tom is suddenly killed, Nicole has to decipher who can be trusted. There are so many interesting characters in this one, a lot going on underneath the surface. I really enjoyed it solid ✴️✴️✴️✴️

This book was an up close and personal look at the grief of losing a sibling. Coral finds her brother Jay after he commits suicide. As way to say goodbye, Coral uses Jay's phone to text through the history of their lives together. This book was a journey through the unexpected loss of a loved one. Check the trigger warnings before reading. Overall, a sad but thought-provoking read. #netgalley #arc

Picked this one up hot off the presses and I'm just getting settled in for a relaxing Friday night with a good audiobook. I'm loving the narration so far, and I'm looking forward to the thrill ride! Hopefully, it won't disappoint!!

This was a slow burn thriller ripped from the headlines. Amber and Joe are high school sweethearts and prom night is meant to be an epic night for the couple, and it is but not in the way they expected. The aftermath results in Amber returning to Baltimore to open a gallery, she swears she'll stay away from Joe, but that's just one promise she's not able to keep. I enjoyed this read, I love stories that have their root in some truth. 🌟🌟🌟✨

Only a third of the way through this book and pretty sure I've got it all figured out. And if I do, I'm thoroughly disturbed and disgusted... I've got this on sale from Audible and there's still 8 hours left but I'm in chapter 33 and I think there must be a twist I'm missing where this whole thing was a set up for revenge or at least that's what I'm praying for.. that's the only thing I can stomach at this point.

So, I grabbed this off the sale shelf on Audible and it seems okay but the reviews here are not too favorable. I'm in a thriller lull and it's totally thriller session with Halloween 🎃 just days away. Any recommendations?

I picked this one up with high hopes because I've loved this author's other books, but I'm struggling to get in the groove with this one. I'm not sure what about it isn't working for me, but it's just not capturing my attention like her first 2 did. Anyone else have some feedback on this one?

This was a shocking story that blended themes of coming of age, mystery, and horror. There were quite a few underlying messages in this book about being driven to perfection and the tool it take on us as young women. It looks at the beauty industry from an interesting perspective. It was fun but not my favorite. Horror rarely is my chosen genre, but nevertheless, I enjoyed it and was also shocked by a lot of the narrative. ⭐⭐⭐

I liked this book. It had all the elements to make a great thriller. In short, the girls murder one of their schoolmates in a seaside town in the UK. Told from multiple perspectives including podcasts and social media sites as well as from a few girls involved and family members of the other killer. It's a good one. Solid ✴️✴️✴️✴️

This book has had my attention since the first line. It's dark and disturbing and the protagonist is so very unlikeable but something about it has me ensnared. 58 minutes left at this point and will update with full review when I finish! The narration does the MC perfectly!

This was pretty good. I was taken somewhat by surprise in certain aspects of the story while other areas I easily guessed what would happen next. I got it on sale and it kept my attention so all and all, I was satisfied. Told in 2 parts, an elderly woman seeks a young companion, preferably blonde with blue eyes like her long lost daughter, but nothing is just that simple. ⭐⭐⭐✨

Picked this one up today and I am trying to figure out of it's more horror or thriller. This will be my first book from this author but so far it's shocked me already 🤣😂 I am excited to see where it goes. Vesper is a young woman who left home to get away from the religion she was born into. When she mysteriously receives an invitation to get best friend and ex boyfriend's wedding, she decides it's time to go home... Very intriguing

This book was pretty good. It was a little slow going at first, however, I enjoyed learning about the MC and trying to figure out her deal. The second half of the book was when things really started going if the rails 😂 and had me laughing the insanity of it in some parts. It kept me turning pages and engaged even though the end seemed just weird, i just sat back like what??? 😳🤯 It was a 🍿 moment. ⭐⭐⭐✨

#TitlesandTunes I would say this book would go beautifully with 'Pardon Me' by 311. This song just seems fitting.

I really loved this book. It was dark and twisty, but all the while I was rooting for Margo in spite of her neurosis lol. Margo fled her former life, under suspicious circumstances, 2 years ago and has been happily working as a library assistant since. Everything is carrying on quite well until a new reference librarian is hired at the library where Margo works. Then things start getting really interesting. ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

This one really did it for me. It had all the concepts needed to be a pick for me. I liked getting to know Vera, who is unlikeable in a lot of ways but yet relatable too. Vera gets caught up in a crazy obsession that she doesn't understand the depths of. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I actually liked this one, which is an unpopular opinion. I hated some of the characters, but was drawn in by all the crazy people in this neighborhood. I will say, I was surprised by the twist but not thoroughly. I could see everything unraveling but still didn't know exactly what was happening until it was literally spelled out for me lol. Overall, it kept me turning pages so it's a pick for me! ⭐⭐⭐✨
