Meet Anna and her beloved wiener dog, Banana, in this start to a charming illustrated chapter book series about the joys and challenges of elementary school friendships. Anna has been best friends with Sadie for as long as she can remember. My 6yo loves this book so much that she asked me to take a pic of her reading it. It addresses standing up for oneself, overcoming jealousy & learning to forgive -- all in an entertaining, fun way that is sure to hook many early elementary kids. Recommended, especially for girls who fear that having a backbone means they're -- gasp -- bossy.
