It‘s not actually this book - it‘s the same author‘s book 365 Days of Grief Comfort that‘s not in the Litsy database … but this author doesn‘t have the greatest advice in grief and I think they just regurgitate same content in all their books on grief.

Continued in contents …

MelAnn When I see a title that says 365 Days, I expect to see daily entries … This book is not organized in that way and it‘s suggestion is that you do certain parts over specific months like January - April, May - August and the contents are just repeated in the sections. 2y
MelAnn And the organization as well as intended benefits of the way it‘s organizes is confusing. There is no road map. When someone is grieving, they are experiencing a tremendous amount of grief fog. They need short, clear and concise strategies, road maps and support. This book just falls short with this. 2y
MelAnn The table of contents makes it appear that it‘s a much longer, more informative book than it is.

This book is basically a summary of surface work of grief - the same gloss-over suggestions you hear from well-meaning friends. Not that it‘s bad advice, I just found it lacking.

MelAnn I have experienced significant loss. I facilitate grief healing groups for a non-profit. I coach clients through grief and I am always looking for resources for both clients and the non-profit‘s resource library. But sadly, this one would not make it onto my recommended resource list. 2y
MelAnn I had high hopes for this book by its title. I was thrilled to be asked to review it. I received a copy of it in exchange for my honest review. But that thrilled expectant feeling quickly faded once I began reading the book. MM 2y
