Legend says that in the dawn of time, Prometheus created two beings. First were the humans, and he gave them fire. Then he breathed life into the Viscerebus, giving them superhuman abilities and the power to shapeshift. The Vis hunt for sustenance, the humans for survival. After humans dominated the planet with their superior numbers and weapons of mass destruction, the Viscerebus allowed their existence to fade into legends and folklore. Anza is an Erdia, a half-human, half-Viscerebus longing for a life of simple freedom. She leaves behind her privileged but restricted secret life to go after what she wants: make friends and live openly as a human away from her Viscerebus family. Veren is an Iztari, a young Viscerebus warrior with something to prove, a goal to achieve, and a path to follow. He is tasked to bring Anza back safely to her family. To do that, he must gain her trust. But when their paths cross, the two face a difficult choice between her dreams, his goals, and the love they didn't ask for. Theirs is a tale of love and sacrifice only beings like them are capable of. A love that can transcend space and time.
