Vincent wakes up in an apartment in New York City with no recollection of having arrived there. Back in the UK, his girlfriend, Emily, has been murdered. Guided by mysterious phone calls which lead him to a series of clues, he soon suspects he has travelled to New York to find Emily's killer. Meanwhile, an explicit video Emily made is going viral. When she shared it with Davison in a private forum, she never expected him to upload it. But she's only ever spoken to him online, and he might not be who he says he is.

Almost left this app for good….

Anyway, this is one of the best metafictional texts I‘ve read. Super innovative and filled with cool ideas…love the footnotes…. Story is enjoyable enough—definitely “Memento”esque, and also Lynchian.

It kinda gets annoying at the end, unfortunately, but 😮‍💨 it goes hard for much of it.

For now, at least, clamber out of the realworld of these notes and immerse yourself completely in Vincent‘s world, the fictional realm. And do this immediately, while you still have the chance; while you‘re still able to recognize the distinction between the two.
