The career of celebrated pop photographer Kevin Cummins began on 29th June 1973 when as a 19-year-old photography student he photographed David Bowie. That image is now in the renowned photography collection of the V&A Museum and marked the beginning Kevin Cummins' four-decade-long visual chronicle of David Bowie's remarkable career. So many excellent photos in this book, and while I recognise a few key images, they're mostly new to me. Hard to choose, but this is probably my favourite - definitely top three, anyway.
Well, my 5 ⭐ rating is subjectively sound, and I think any Bowie fan would love this, however if you're not specifically a Bowie fan but you're into photography, popular culture and/or rock music, you'll probably still enjoy this.

Aaah 😌 An early birthday present👨🏼‍🎤😊
I have Mick Rock's Bowie photo album, & though Cummins' book doesn't have David's notes like Rock's has, this is still a fantastic chronicle of Bowie from his Ziggy days, when teenage Cummins was in the audience with an illicit camera, through to 1997, when Cummins had achieved international fame as a photographer, to the final photos of the fan shrines which sprang up after David's ascension. Wonderful!
