This Chinese American reimagining of Pride & Prejudice had me simultaneously laughing & feeling sympathetic towards its characters.2 of 3 sisters, Jenny & Lissie, waitress in their aunt & uncle‘s Chinese restaurant.Lissie inadvertently serves a dish with shell fish paste to an allergic young lady member of the wealthy Lin family. Thus she meets a furious Preston Lin,who makes his intense dislike for her known.This event sets the stage for the 🔽

kspenmoll 🔼 for the novel as Lissie‘s life unravels. The author‘s treatment of the Wickham factor adds some tension & spice to the novel. A fun & funny read, with of course the P & P romantic ending. 1mo
