pickThis ended up being super cute and pretty silly. It has some similarities with The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System, but the relationship is less problematic, and Li Yu knows Prince Jing is gay. (Unclear whether he realises he himself is, but he was reading a queer novel when he transmigrated.) I had a lot of fun.
A first glimpse of Li Yu's human form! What a cheeky face. Prince Jing looks a little captivated, despite thinking this boy has stolen his beloved fish...
Ooooooof, some serious embarrassment squick for a bit there (end of chapter 11). Criiiiinge. Luckily it didn't linger *too* much on the cringe, but oof.
This danmei sounds absolutely nuts. It doesn't start out well for Li Yu, the pet fish of the title -- Shen Qingqiu in Scum Villain thinks he's got problems?! Li Yu's a FISH!
I'm enjoying this so far, though of course the romance potential is currently veeeery limited, because Li Yu's a fish and Prince Jing can't talk.
