I reviewed this a month ago but for anyone who loves #epistolary novels I wanted to #repost - it's amazing. Johanna is Vincent Van Gogh's sister in law who saved his work.

It is true that Vincent VanGogh's brother Theo's wife can be thanked for saving the paintings she was left with on Theo's death 1 year after Vincent's suicide. The paintings were thought worthless but she pulled herself up for the sake of her son, editing the brothers letters and growing V's reputation.
This is an epistolary novel filled with fictional letters and diary entries by/about her, the brothers, the art. It's amazing. #artrelatedbooks
