pickI can definitely see why my mother has been recommending this book to me for some long, and why the authors of the forewords bemoan that Berlin doesn't have more readers. #shortstories

well.read.panda @UrsulaMonarch I could see the brutality angle. Some of the stories are pretty prosaic, some are hard to take. And by the end of this story, the protagonist decides she's ok with the waits on BART :-) 6y
