The spontaneous marathon is complete! Just got a good momentum, and realized I really wanted to know how everything ended. The answer is: the only way it could. After everything that's happened, all the loss and mistakes, tying off some loose ends means acknowledging things won't ever be the way they were. 1/?

Redemption and reconciliation are very much still question marks for a number of characters but the idea that peace, getting people to the table to talk is hard thing, really resonates right now, maybe its one of those perennial truths that we keep having to learn the painful way. 5mo

Robotswithpersonality 3/3 Blue Beetle and Booster; Harley with her olive branch (tree); the moment with Bruce and Clark; Lobo's Lantern 'creations'; there were a number of memorable highlights in this final volume. But boy oh boy am I glad it's not the main continuity! I think it's time for a cheerful Superman comic. 😅 5mo

Wow, that went by really fast. Definitely has its share of dark moments, seemed to be almost entirely fight scenes and planning to fight scenes. Highlights were Hal Jordan's hallucinated 'Jiminy Cricket', and Javelin joy ride complete with alarm saga. ⚠️Animal death

Well that was DARK. It was also an incredibly compelling read. Naturally, seeing how Superman and Wonder Woman are characterized is unsettling, and the heartbreaking losses just confirm this as a nightmarish 'what if', but what surprised me was the hope, the funny parts, and how much time Harley Quinn got on the page. Those surprises are why I still want to continue in the series. Art preference per issue varied, will see what comes next. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What a gorgeous book but so heartbreaking too, particularly as it is based on real testimonies.

Francisco‘s father is arrested on false corruption charges and is imprisoned. In #bolivia families often stay in the prisons too so 17 year old Francisco and his young sister live there with their father.

Auw, such a heartbreaking novel. A boy of 17 has to take care of his little sister when his father is wrongly incarcerated in Cochabamba prison, #Bolivia. The kids can live with him in jail but it‘s not safe of course for a little girl.
The book is sad but there are sparks of light all through the story, little bits of uninterrupted sky. The right book at the right time. I loved it.
