Playing catch up on prompts this weekend.
This is the only book on my shelves or Kindle with #Panic in its title or subtitle (Candy: A Century Of Panic and Pleasure) A little food history is always good especially when candy is involved.😋I haven‘t read this one yet but I‘m not panicked about it. 😆

arlenefinnigan Excellent choice! 3mo
Cinfhen My kids used to love those candy dots 💚💛🧡💙❤️ 3mo

(Day 12 - #MoneysTooTightToMention & Day 13 - #Panic)

*Given that the book begins with an elaborate plan to rob an armored car in front of an Atlantic City casino, we can assume that #MoneysTooTightToMention. But even the best plans can go awry. And when it does, the lost loot, which comes directly from the US Mint, will explode if not recovered in a short time. Now, #Panic ensues, as various entities go after that money. 💰💸

arlenefinnigan Double link. Nice! 3mo
gradcat @arlenefinnigan Had to do it...no time the day before, so what‘s a Litten to do, but double duty! 😂 3mo

I‘ve not read this but I did see most of the movie with Tom Cruise. An invasion of Earth by extraterrestrials 👽 would cause a #panic as depicted in the film and (probably) book!

arlenefinnigan The Jeff Wayne soundtrack is brilliant. 3mo
Ruthiella @arlenefinnigan I‘ll have to check that out! I only half watched the film on TV at the time. 3mo
Novelista71 The book is very different from the film, for a start it happens in suburban England but also there are a lot of good ideas in it. Having watched the film I think you‘ll love the book... 3mo

Ruthiella @Novelista71 I would like to give it a whirl one of these days ! I‘ve only read The Invisible Man from Wells so far. 😀 3mo
rwmg Don't forget the rock musical 😁 3mo
Ruthiella @rwmg Oh I see that‘s what Arlene references in her comment! John Williams (of course) scored the Spielberg film! 😀 3mo

If the cover doesn't give you #panic & the title doesn't, try the warning on the back cover: You may have a huge, invisible spider living in your skull. THIS IS NOT A METAPHOR.
I loved this book, as well as John Dies at the End. I have yet to read his two following books, but definitely plan on doing so sooner than later.
@arlenefinnigan @Cinfhen

arlenefinnigan Well there's a book I'm never reading. 3mo
DGRachel This book is on my wish list to read this October. 😂 3mo

MicheleinPhilly I‘m with @arlenefinnigan. Gross. I‘m so itchy now! 3mo
vivastory @MicheleinPhilly Whatever you do, under no circumstances look at the endpapers for Ben Winters' 3mo
MicheleinPhilly Oh never! 3mo
vivastory @MicheleinPhilly I'm itchy just thinking about it..& I read it years ago! 😬 3mo
Centique I love spiders @MicheleinPhilly Blame it on a primary school teacher getting us to draw and study them and make cobwebs out of string until I considered them spooky little knitters. Moths however are awful. They can FLY and land in your hair. It‘s horrifying! 3mo
MicheleinPhilly @Centique Harmless house spiders don‘t bother me. It‘s the thick ones that really gross me out. Spiderwebs, the really intricate ones, are beautiful. I just don‘t need to see the tenants. ☺️ 3mo
Hooked_on_books This cover gives me the heebie-jeebies! 3mo
Centique @MicheleinPhilly I caught an Avondale Spider once. I suggest you don‘t google what that looks like! 😂😂 3mo
MicheleinPhilly @Centique 😫😫😫Of course I did. 3mo

When an asteroid knocks the moon closer to Earth, like "one marble hits another”, the result is catastrophic. Really loved this collection.

@Cinfhen @arlenefinnigan

ReadosaurusText I have read this book like ten times! And, the good news about reading it now is that last month (8/2019), news broke that they have possibly made progress with a cure! So, really perfect TBR timing. 3mo
