Like a children's book illustrator was asked to accompany a country song.
(Okay, yes, I could not get Corb Lund's 'Truck Got Stuck' out of my head).
Adorable.

Had 3 days off and accomplished my goal to read each day to the grandkids via Marco Polo. My son remembered I‘m Dirty as one of his younger brothers‘ favorites. Tagged book is my favorite of this group.

This story is an example of a fable and a folk tale, which are both specific types of traditional literature. In this particular retelling of this timely story the red hen asks upon some of her friends to help her make a cake. After they refused to help, she was forced to make the cake on her own. But that meant she also ate it on her own. The moral of the story is that hard work pays off, while laziness on the other hand has its own consequences.
I truly enjoyed reading this story! I think that it could be well utilized in an early elementary classroom. I think it would send a strong message to students that when they work together (helping in building a classroom community) that they will find that everyone will benefit. Alos touching on the other lesson in which the story teaches, which is hard work pays off. Two very powerful messages that young children could benefit from learning.
Help!
I need recommendations for biographies/autobiographies which are good on audio, short (ideally under 8 hours. Shorter=better), not celebrities, quite light-hearted or up-beat & (VERY importantly) not a total miseryfest.
The lady asking is in her 90s, and we are really struggling to find her anything to read! I am Malala went quite well. I would totally go with Born a Crime if I could get it on cd… I am stumped!
Thanks in advance.
I‘ve had too many birthdays to count so I‘m thrilled to spend this one handing my house and yard (because I have no dogs) over to my corporate event planning DIL to celebrate Canon‘s first birthday. A pile of toddlers and babies are in for some big fun today! His favorite set of books is the party theme!
@covertocovergirl we need Kacey here!
Todays afternoon read with my girl “The Fire Dog Challenge”. Very cute, classic Clifford the Big Red Dog story line. (It followed the tv show episode to a T) 3.5/5 ⭐️
