AmyG I found this whole Gillian Welsh concert so bizzare. Not so much that she went but that she described the concert as if she was a music critic all while being ripped off by a grifter. I love Gillian and David….it pissed me off that she went to see them…because I don‘t like her. 🤣🤣🤣 (edited) 5mo

IndoorDame Love Gillian Welsh! … I think this is part of why Rachel is so unsympathetic. Instead of economizing, or at least explaining why she‘s splurging on a concert at this juncture she just goes without thinking twice, and tells us all about it because she needs to be maintaining her lifestyle (edited) 5mo

Karisa It felt like filler so much of this book and self-promotion. Yes, it was wrong for Anna to stick her with huge debt. Yet, Rachel‘s privileged life and lack of truly understanding the ease of her life is so icky. She annoyed me way more than Anna did. Having a hard time empathizing with her. 5mo

Deblovestoread I couldn‘t figure out the point of adding in the concert going. Felt like filler and like @Karisa it made me not like her even more 🤷🏻‍♀️ 5mo

DebinHawaii I felt like Rachel tried so hard to make herself sympathetic & relatable & to show that anyone could have/would have gotten caught up in Anna‘s deception but every note she strikes (music pun a little bit intended) including the concert description is off. (edited) 5mo

AllDebooks @Karisa not a fan, either. Rachel hasn't done herself any favours publishing this account. Anna put her in an impossible situation with the debt but she needs to be accountable for her role in the freeloading. 5mo

mollyrotondo This annoyed me!! You are stressed about all this debt you can‘t pay off yet you bought concert tickets. What?! Yes Anna at fault but Rachel is no way experiencing the trauma and loss of money like other scam victims who lose everyone and have no way of getting it back. But Rachel bought concert tickets 😵‍💫 5mo
