After a quick glance at attitudes to animals in various traditions around the world, the author goes on to discuss approaches in the modern Western tradition, focussing on moral philosophy and then applying the ideas to various practical matters such as animal husbandry, pets and zoos, and animal experimentation.

Interesting but mainly serves as an introduction to one perspective rather than the idea in general.

A great picture book about the Stonewall uprising. It‘s written in the perspective of the building—originally two stable houses—which is unique and I loved.

Great children‘s book about the rights of the disabled as seen through the eyes of a child! The last 2-3 pages are on information about disabilities and how it‘s impacted by society.

This phenomenal award winning NF-RA book is an absolute must read 💫 It talks about her life and how her and her family are advocates for equal rights for disabled. It goes into detail on the steps they took throughout her journey to make it all the way to the top not taking no for an answer! This would be such an amazing book to include in the classroom for so many reasons📚 #UCFLAE3414SP21

Spearsall continued: UDL 6.3 is used ‘facilitate managing information and resources‘ and ESOL strategy ‘encourage self-talk (positive thinking)‘ is used as well. https://socialjusticebooks.org/all-the-way-to-the-top-how-one-girls-fight-for-am...
