Reading this book with candles by the fire and a cup of tea is the perfect evening! A great book so far. The two women main characters hate each other but I'm hoping somewhere along the way hate will turn to ... love? (Or at least lust, haha) #QueerBooks #LGBTQBooks #LGBTQ

Cozy night starting this new book. The tagline "lesbian necromancers in space" was all I needed to pick this up. #QueerBooks #LGBTQBooks

This was a unique mix of family saga, romance, and supernatural mystery. Two queer cousins and their friends and partners go up to their hike-in family cabin which has been in their family for generations. But weird stuff starts happening, like things moving from where they were and strange noises out in the forest. Just the right amount of spooky! Plus, hot park ranger! Loved the queer history and casual integration of a deaf lesbian character.

CaseyTheCanadianLesbrarian One caveat: I would have liked to see a mention of the existence of Indigenous people in the past in relation to the land, instead of implying the land in the US was just empty and for the taking. 2w

This was an excellent, complex mystery with authentic, flawed characters. Evan is a foul-mouthed ex-Catholic 'dust-buster' hired by political parties to vet potential candidates; in other words, she finds the skeletons in people's closets. Her new job is to investigate a potential federal judge, which leads her down a twisty road involving sexual abuse in the Catholic church. I loved the supporting characters, all human and unique in their own way

A merry early Christmas to me! I got three ARCs of queer books from Arsenal Pulp Press today: The Gospel of Breaking by Jillian Christmas (queer, afro-caribbean performance poet on family, racialized life, queer lineage and more), We Had No Rules by Corinne Manning (debut story collection about contemporary queer life), and My Art is Killing Me by Amber Dawn (queer femme's poetry on the toll making art takes on artists). #QueerBooks #LGBTQBooks

Started this one and I am immediately sucked in, just as I was with Call Me By Your Name. So much love for these characters and this writing.

What a story! This thriller/mystery kept me on the edge of my seat the whole book. Jasmine Benavides aka Jazz has tried everything through proper channels of police, CPS, etc. to help her younger brother, living with an abusive foster/adoptive mother Carol. A mysterious organization contacts Jazz, promising a "permanent" solution to Carol. The catch? For Carol to be killed, she has to kill a stranger's Carol. Relentless pacing, great characters!

Latest library books! I really am trying to read the books I already own but I couldn't resist either of these. One is a graphic memoir about pregnancy and difficulties getting pregnant by #bisexual cartoonist Lucy Knisley. Another is a memoir about abuse in a queer relationship by Carmen Maria Machado, whose debut book of short stories I loved. #QueerBooks #BisexualBooks #Memoir #LGBTQBooks

Emilymdxn I have the tagged book on pre order and can‘t wait to read it! 2mo

There are some really stand out personal essays in here, although the collection is dominated by cis white lesbian couples having babies with donors. Favourites included a Chinese Canadian lesbian adopting girls from China and having to swear she's "not a homosexual"; two bi women exploring polyamory and parenthood with a cis guy; experience of being non-binary and pregnant; non-gestational lactating lesbian mom; & a few sad stories with no kids.
