so-soThe writing style was stunning to me. The plot...eh, not so much. I think the author could have done a bit more than just allow Korede to fold. She had such a spine in her thinking, but it did not display in her actions. Ayoola was a brat, and yet, because of her beauty...she never had consequence for her behavior.

pickI actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. I liked the way that Hawkins constructed the manipulative man and the alcoholic ex-wife. They were very realistic & very sad.
