3 STARS - This was a tender story about enduring friendship and the events and relationships we make throughout our lives. While I didn't find this book to be a tearjerker, I'm in the minority so be prepared for some Kleenex.

5 STARS!! I loved this book that is set in northeastern Ontario and is a story about a teenage couple, their love and what drove them apart. You'll easily connect with Sam and Percy & flashbacks help you understand what happened to this perfectly imperfect couple.

Bloomsbury Girls: A Novel | Natalie Jenner

3.5 STARS - This was a good Historical Fiction novel set in post-WWII London that follows the lives of 3 women and their struggles within a sexist system. Many icons of the 1950's make appearances as does one character from Jenner's book The Jane Austen Society. Look for it May 17th.

2.5 STARS - This was a letdown. Mallory was annoying and we're stuck in her head for much of the book. The mystery felt secondary and this book felt like it was only meant to set up this new series.

3.5 STARS - This was a cute story that felt more Contemporary Fiction than the RomCom I was expecting. It centres around a meteorologist Ari and sports reporter Russell who scheme to get their miserable bosses back together.

Great themes of mental health, realistic body types and a cute premise were my takeaways from this cute read.

4 STARS - I enjoyed my 1st book by Keyes. It's a slow burn, family drama that is the follow up to Rachel's Holiday - the 2nd book in the Walsh Family series. You can read this book as a standalone. Trigger warnings below my review on my blog.

4 STARS - Delightfully chilling, the story follows Beth, a reclusive woman who was tried and acquitted in the serial killer murders decades before in a small town. When cold case blogger Shea is granted a rare one-on-one interview with Beth, she jumps at the chance but finds an eerie story of manipulation, lies and dark pasts.

4.5 STARS - A fantastic, eerie and atsmopheric read about siblings who are raised on the grounds of a psychiatric hospital by their grandmother, a renowed psychiatrist in the 1970's Modern day storyline follows Vi, a monster hunting podcaster who digs into her past. Delightfully chilling!!

Suet624 Jennifer is a Vermonter. Does this story take place in Vermont? 1mo
Bakingbookworm @Suet624 Yes it does. At a psychiatric hospital in rural Vermont. 1mo
Suet624 I live about 20 minutes away from a town that used to have a psychiatric hospital until the 90‘s. It had quite the reputation. It‘s been used in the past by local authors as a setting for their books and it‘s only about 30 minutes from where Jennifer lives. So I bet that‘s where she has situated her story. 1mo

4⭐ - Narrated by Claire Foy (she of The Crown fame), this audiobook was more of a dramatized audio theatre than a standard audiobook. There were various actors performing & background sounds (which felt distracting) & I didn't love the hollow sound of this production. But it didn't take long to get used to this format and I soon fell into the lives, loves and wittiness of the Bennett family.
