I love how #barbarakingsolver writes characters and settings. I feel like I'm there in the butterfly covered mountains during the wet winter as I read this.

Me and the cat thought 5th Wave was good. If you like teenagers surviving the alien apocalypse - you'll like this one. This was a good story told from the viewpoint of a teen girl who is scared and alone. The events described were well articulated and I felt like I got to know the main characters and the settings pretty well. I was not in love characters firmly in my mind, especially in the beginning.
