I decided to pick few books from my bookshelves and put them on my November TBR list. This is on top of my ebook ARCs. Hopefully I will be able to complete this challenge...well unless life gets in my way...again

Any author who is able to write a believable and thought-provoking story from the point-of-view of a child has a special place in my heart. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to create such a book. To stay true to what a child‘s mind is really like at such a young age, and yet create a story that will keep the reader captivated, emotional, and mesmerized by its well written prose. Well, Eliza Nellums did it in her debut novel!

Plagiarism scandal or not, I loved this book! Jojo Moyes gave us a perfect historical fiction novel, with all the bells and whistles. Beautifully flowing prose, likable characters, stunning descriptions of Kentucky landscapes, and a story plot that was never dull or overwritten. This book was heartwarming, joyful, and at times heartbreaking, and I would love to see more historical fiction novels from this author.

It was my first novella, and it left me unsatisfied. I thought it was a great idea for an exciting thriller, but in the end, I wanted more. I was missing the deepness of the plot and the well-developed characters. What had a promise of being a creepy and unnerving read ended up being just an OK story with an underwhelming ending. Maybe I am just not the right audience for novellas, and I need a full novel to appreciate the author‘s work.

The Beekeeper of Aleppo is a beautifully written novel full of loss, heartbreak, survival, and hope. The journey of Syrian refugees through unknown, foreign, and often extremely dangerous landscapes in search of asylum in Great Britain. The author‘s skillful way with a written word and the emotionally charged atmosphere of this book left me heartbroken and emotionally exhausted

I love Lisa Jewell‘s books, I read them all, and I recommend them to anyone that will listen. The Family Upstairs is another great book and I am so happy I got to read it over the weekend because otherwise I would have to call in sick to work...I just could not stop reading.
A well-written story with Lisa Jewell‘s unique style. It is creepy, disturbing, atmospheric, and it kept me guessing till the end. Loved it!!!

The Bone Houses is a YA Fantasy mixed with Welsh folklore read and surprisingly it turned out to be a great book 💀. Although I have to admit that while reading it I kept having flashbacks to Walking Dead movie 😂.
