All time favorite children's book. Brings back childhood memories of my teacher reading it out loud and listening with pleasure. Touching story of friendship.

Read this book several summers ago. I was surprised to find out it was a YA book after the fact, but didn't change the fact that I loved it. Sci-fi romance.
