A great book about a family of seven, picking up and driving to Alaska, starting out with nothing and building and maintaining a successful homestead. Norma Cobb tells wonderful stories so full of detail that it felt like I was there as things were happening. I just wish there was a second book telling more stories from when the homestead was already established and the kids were more grown up.
