The stranger thought it might be God himself had forgotten much from our pasts, events far distant, events of the same day. And if a thing is not in God‘s mind, then what chance of it remaining in those of mortal men?

Familiarity is usually comforting, but not if you can‘t recognize why something is familiar. Especially so if you can‘t remember why something violence, negative, unusual is familiar.

Is it good or bad to not be able to remember past trauma? Does it make the scars (literal and figurative) an easier or harder burden to bear if nothing can be remembered?

Do memories prove love? What love do we have if we cannot remember the good and the bad? Or, in the moment that everything is forgotten, if love is still there is that the strongest proof of all?

Memories and mist. Trusting love and instincts. The pain of a forgotten and seemingly beloved past.
