I love a good fairy tale. This author is a master at this. I've seen her in person. She's also fab irl.

My #doublespin for September.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was a delight, and I enjoyed the glimpses into all the different staff at Baldwin HS. A very realistic depiction of the lives of educators.
I loved this book. I seen the movie a number of times and I feel like the book fills in a lot that the movie misses.
So Newton comes to this planet with the idea of making enough money to bring the rest of his people here. But his plan unravels and despair sets in.

Finished Red Warning. An okay but not very impelling spy drama about a threat to Washington DC.
So good! I read this is one sitting because I didn‘t want to put it down!
#bookspinbingo - this is my #doublespin for this month!

This was... okay? I was definitely curious about the mystery, but not so totally absorbed that I couldn't have lived without finding the answer. Still, I felt really meh today and this kept me interested enough to read about half of it in one go, so I think I'm just generally muted in affect today and I probably liked it.
Either way, that was my #DoubleSpin.
I went into this book blind, so I was not sure what to expect. A bored kidnapped teenager with Stockholm Syndrome? Let's just say, I was surprised with how the story developed.

My #BookSpin isn't in Litsy's database, but I started listening to it today after I got home from the Renaissance Festival. I'm not really looking forward to my #DoubleSpin but I want to catch up with #LosersClub.
This book started off so strong and I was loving it, then the “reveal” happened and I didn‘t love it. What the “reveal” was felt so out of character for Percy. It didn‘t work for me. I want to keep this spoiler free so all I will say is what Percy did just wasn‘t consistent with how she acted all throughout the book.
