I‘ve still got 3 hours left, but I‘m calling it on my 2024 reading challenges. Still no Bingo, and I didn‘t finish all my #Bookspin & #Doublespin picks, but at least I met my 2024 book goal. Even if I did have to pad it a bit today with some kids books, including the tagged, which I picked thinking of the meme at the bottom - this year has been ROUGH, including some bad news that I got just today. I need a break in 2025
pickGoing to call this as my last book of 2024. It was also my October #DoubleSpin for #BookSpinBingo. This is one I definitely need to own at some point. I jumped the gun and added it to my #AuldLangSpine list ahead of finishing it because I knew what I had. Sorry not sorry 🤭 Amy Fleisher Madden has taken incredible care of documenting and capturing the 2nd and 3rd waves of emo music. I‘m so glad this book exists 🖤⬇️

pickThis has sat unread on my shelf for YEARS. I‘m glad to have finally gotten around to reading it, and while it‘s not exactly flattering to Dickens it was a well-crafted novel that explored those close to me “the Chief” and I‘m glad I read it. My final #doublespin of 2024, and (unusually for me) I‘m ready to start 2025 with no book in progress. It‘s a clean slate. @TheAromaofBooks

#12Booksof2024 July was a tough choice it was between this book and The One by John Marrs. As far as I know this is the last of the series, but I hope it isn‘t the end. As I said in my January post this is the series I have recommended the most this year. I love the concept of healthy masculinity in the form of gleaning wisdom from reading romance. This also happened to be my #DoubleSpin for Christmas in July 😁
