I didn't really care for this one. Really enjoyed her other book Homegoing. #doublespin for June @TheAromaofBooks

This was pretty cute.
It reminded me of the midnight library, but with the wished for lives being shown as someone else‘s experience rather than your own.
At the start of the rainy season, humans with a ticket can visit the rainfall market, a place where dokkaebi live and sell their wares, and where for a small purchase you can swap your old life for the life of your dreams.
This was my #DoubleSpin this month
Very confusing mystery for Jury. Who is who, and who dunnit are definitely in question. Can he solve it? Maybe... Different from most of his cases.

This was SO MUCH FUN. I loved Miles & Abigail—their banter, humor, and romance, as well as the contrast & balance that becomes apparent between these two such well-matched characters. Heyer just gets everything right: Abigail‘s pitch-perfect near-caricature relatives—lovable and infuriating by turns—a surprising but thoroughly appealing male love interest, and comeuppance where it is due. ⤵️
One of my favorite in the series, with a well realized world and characters you grow attached to in a short time. A sad ending as the portal books tend to be though. 4.5⭐️
#doublespin and another #roll100 pick done! I‘m now caught up with this series too.
#doublespin done - another fun Famous Five book - so much food in this book 😆 also I know it‘s old but I found it hard to believe that anyone would let 4 children go off in a horse drawn caravan by themselves 🤯 Good fun - trying to teach Gary to #bemoretimmy
Not as dark as I would have thought, but I liked it. I think she‘s grown as a writer since Lights Out!
My June #doublespin ! @TheAromaofBooks
It has been a long time since a book has kept me up past my bedtime, but this YA romance did it.
I adore Henry and his fun family, and though I thought Len a bit of an ass all the way through I also felt it was realistic.
The pacing on this was great and the side characters added to the story and the vibe. I do wish the third act was a bit more flushed out. There were words that should have been said.
4.25/5⭐
For several years I wanted too visit EH where her Nantucket series began. But when older books are not on my physical shelves it‘s hard to pull them from my TBR. I was thrilled when my June #DoubleSpin challenged me with category: Ebook TBR. Some of this 2000 contemporary writing doesn‘t quite work as contemporary fiction 25 years later, but still it was a fun to read the book where the Nantucket series began.
