Night Watch | Terry Pratchett

This book is amazing! I love the Discworld books and the growth of characters over the series has always been stunningly written. This book focuses on commander Sam Vimes as a "magical event" transports him and a dangerous criminal to a past where no one knows him and lawlessness abounds..

Chie Sir Terry's world is so intricate, complex and full of humor! I so enjoy his stories! 8y

I don't usually enjoy Science fiction books, but this was one book I found very hard to put down. The plot revolves around a young boy named Ender and the impossible decisions he has to make which are often morally conflicting. The story draws you in and makes you care about him and his journey.

Ubergeekygirl I loved this book minus Ender's sister and brother plot, which to me was painful. The movie didn't have enough time to build the story up appropriately. Are you planning to read the next book in the series? 8y
Icespice420 @Ubergeekygirl I didn't mind the sister and brother plot, but wish it had been fleshed out and made more relevant. I have actually read the second book, not as great as the first. I have been warned against reading the third 😄 have you read them? 8y
Ubergeekygirl Only the first, it is one of my many, many series I am in the middle of. 8y

AvidReader25 There are two trilogies that split off from this book. They're very different. I'd recommend trying Ender's Shadow. 8y
Icespice420 Lol @Ubergeekygirl it seems that's always the case in the fantasy genre... 😊 8y
Icespice420 @Avidreader25 Thanks, I will look it up and add it to my TBR list :) 8y
