One of the most moving books I've ever read. A lasting testament to the Nazis genocide and to human courage and hope. I enjoyed reading this so much because its so neatly written and based on a true story and three years of research during which time the author became friends with the heroine. Its a love story like no other. Highly recommended.

Retreat | Mark Edwards

I enjoyed this. Its not quite a horror story, but a thriller set in North Wales at a writers retreat. Edward's writing is clear, uncluttered and to the point. The story builds up nicely with a surprising climax. This will suit lovers of mystery, horror and intrigue. It's an easy book to read or listen to, and Edwards fits in just enough characters, mystery and plot to keep you turning the pages.

Dare | Barry McDonagh

Mehso-so

A good self help book for anxiety. McDonagh's Dare response is clearly laid out and explained as a front line response for sufferers. I found it helpful. My only criticism is that it doesn't often mention anxiety's co-companion - depression. Since, in my experience, one condition goes hand in hand with the other this was disappointing. Nonetheless, with numerous spin-off apps, this will no doubt help many.

One of the best non fiction books I've ever read. It has completely changed not only my views on drugs but has given insight into how the world works and what is important in life.

For an authoratitive documentation on the War On Drugs in the last 100 years it reads like a thriller, each chapter a story in its own right - and all adding up to one inescapable conclusion - criminalising drug use must end. Hari's prose are fascinating and lucid.

Mike61 Now going to be made into a major film. 6y
