Pickpick

Finally got round to reading the latest installment in the Kopp Sisters series. Much of this book focuses on a new character rather than the sisters themselves, but I still found her story interesting enough to keep me turning pages quickly, and I enjoyed the historical background. I'm looking forward to the next book which is out in January.

rabbitprincess The next book is out in January?! Yay!! 3y
Rusty37 @rabbitprincess yep, it was originally supposed to be September but got delayed due to the pandemic 3y
melissajayne Can I read the series out of order? 3y
Rusty37 @melissajayne I think so. A lot of this book focuses on a character who wasn't in the previous books, so it would work fine on its own. (But I'd recommend reading the others too!) 3y

Kaye Thanks for giving it a try ♥️ , Daisy. It‘s harder than I thought it‘d be. Next time I‘ll try to think of one a bit less taxing on the brain. I couldn‘t get them all, either. 6y

Red Sky in the Morning | Elizabeth Laird

1) I'm struggling with this one so I'll go for book with weather in the title: Red Sky in the Morning by Elizabeth Laird
2) I really liked Gatty's Tale by Kevin Crossley-Holland, in which the main character goes on a pilgrimage across Europe to Jerusalem
3) I'm not sure what constitutes spring food?
4) So far, A Job for Susan by Jane Shaw - but there's still time for that to change

Just started listening to this. I think I'm going to enjoy it a lot.

CampbellTaraL I love stories like this written from the non traditional protagonist's perspective. Mrs. Hudson (Sherlock)! Etta Candy (Wonder Woman)! Hope this one stands out too. 6y

1. Small town
2. Country (although I don't listen to the radio that much)
3. Literary fiction (not massively into either though)
4. I like pineapple, and I like pizza. Just not together
5. I've never read/watched Gone With the Wind, so can't really compare

#thisorthat @readherwriteher

readherwriteher @daisy_may What is your favourite genre? 6y
robinb Welcome to Litsy! 😊 6y
Rusty37 @readherwriteher I like historical fiction, mysteries (more towards the cosy end of the spectrum), classics/vintage books, and biographies/memoirs. I do read quite a bit from other genres but these are my go-to ones ☺ 6y
Rusty37 @robinb Thanks, I'm happy to be here! 6y

Joining in with #litsybythenumbers ! I've read three books so far this year that would count - Just One Damned Thing After Another by Jodi Taylor, A Second Chance also by Jodi Taylor, and Tenth at Trinder's by Dorothea Moore. Now to find books to fill some others...
