I loved this book. It was well written, descriptive and thoroughly engaging. I found the idea of Samantha being related to the Bronte's such a unique premise. I felt like I learned so much about the Brontes too, as there were accurate accounts of their lives included as part of the story.

Loved this book. Brain on Fire is an intense look at a women struggling with declining health and eventual madness. Susannah Calahan chronicles her frustration with her health care providers and her and her family's desperate search for answers.

I am a sucker for World War II historical fiction and The Nightingale does not disappoint. The story of two sisters living in France at the time if the war and the roles they must take on too survive. Both end up being strong and heroic, but in completely different ways.

Amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this book. Extremely emotional and at times hard to read, it provides a heart-wrenching look at how severe trauma experienced in childhood can impact every aspect of our lives from our friendships and relationships to how we view and treat ourselves.
