Beautiful, musical, and powerful. I know very little about poetry, this was very accessible and lovely.

“We are female to our narrow”. Beautiful poetry collection about women (“does and fawns”), men (“bucks”), and the world. Lovingly observed and achingly written.
This first part of this book jumps around a lot, but if you skip to chapter 10 there is some great writing on the issues facing rural ag communities, including: population loss, worldwide immigration, corporate farming practices, pollution and the urgent need for more sustainable solutions. If you want to better understand food, US politics, and climate; read this book.
Beautiful, powerful story. Told with grace, clarity, and a total lack of fear or self-pity.
Goetsch does the thing nearly all writers try to do but few succeed at - she tells her own unique story in a way that makes it universal. Very brave story of a person trying to understand themselves. Especially powerful to me since her struggles came at a time when there was so little knowledge, language, and awareness around gender identity.
An unexpected little gem from Marquez‘s last days. It‘s definitely very different (simpler in a way) from his earlier works, but I found the message beautiful, profound, even surprising. A quick and easy read but with a lot to say. I‘m glad his family decided to publish it.
Well done! Lots of big questions and ideas packed into tiny (yet fully formed!) stories. Excellent.
This book did something to feed my soul. The writing is beautiful, the authors story is traumatic and triumphant. She is both humble and filled with wonder and grief all at once. I keep thinking about this book and doubt I‘ll find something like it anytime soon.
This was delightful. Very random memoir, but for me it worked. The science facts and love letters sprinkled throughout are beautiful. (And, unlike other memoirs I‘ve read, it doesn‘t end with “and clearly I ended up as an awesome writer”, which I found refreshing.)
But seriously, those love letters are gold. FYI: had to get from Powell‘s Bookstore online bc out of print/stock everywhere else.
