Very disappointed - this book did not live up to its hype.
None of the characters are likable. Not even the baby in utero.
And if the whole plot is based around a murder, I need to at least feel something for someone. Especially but not limited to the person that is murdered. But I didn't care about the outcome of this story for anyone.
Side note: author's prose are beautiful. But a bit too focused on sex.

Sorry guys, but I had to bail. Terrible. Don't understand the hype it had been getting.
The dialogue was annoying and unrealistic. Boring. Immature. No depth. Yuck.

Pickpick

It has been a while since I've read a book this good. A book where there isn't a sentence wasted, every line is beautifully and perfectly written.

I feel like I need to go back to every book I've ever rated at the top and knock it down a notch. They don't compare when standing next to this phenomenal work.
