I'm still not sure what happened in this book, but that was the point. It was a very interesting premise, and reminded me a bit of Rebecca and also the Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield, even though this book.
If you want a good psychological thriller to mess with your head, then this is a good read.

I'm excited to read more books in this series when/if they release, I haven't read a lot of mysteries set in India, so this was a nice change from the usual mysteries that I read. I liked the main character Kaveri, as she was smart, spunky, and adventurous. I liked the historical setting, as it was interesting to see a strong female character operated in a society in which women's roles were limited.

This book was really interesting, and I liked going on a journey with the protagonist! It was a well-written book and gave a glimpse into British India. I also liked how it brought up different topics like caste and class, and even prostitution and how hard it was for single, young women back then. I really like how the story starts with the protagonist as a child, and we readers get to follow her as she grows up and changes.

This book had a gripping plot that kept me hooked, and the premise was very unique. The story is deliberately confusing, but in a way that made me want to continue and figure out what was going. I especially loved the twist ending, as that was fresh and different. I also loved the Agatha Christie atmosphere of the book, which gave it a cosy mystery feel whilst also maintaining a lot of suspense.

A good read if you're looking for something light and enjoyable! The topics of the short anecdotes are very simple and mundane, but the author writes in such an amusing way that livens them up. I found the essays/anecdotes to be quite relatable, and it was refreshing to read about very simple, daily things that we all encounter instead of something grand or more unique.

I can always read an Agatha Christie book at any time or place. Her books are always comfort reads, and when I don't know what other book to read, I know I can always count on a good Agatha Christie mystery. I've been re-reading the Labours of Hercules, and it's been an absolute pleasure to get into again. Does not disappoint :)

What a beautiful book. The story was very poignant, and I loved the intricacy of emotions presented in the book. It's a very quiet story, but I found it very powerful. Even though I read the book translated into English, the prose was still gorgeous. I think this book is also wonderfully demonstrates the human experience and how we connect with others.

I absolutely loved this book. It was a very interesting concept: what if you could live all your potential lives? Which one would you choose? The main character gets to explore all the lives she could have lead, so different from her mundane life, and she has to decide which life to stay in. I also appreciate how it dealt with mental health issues like depression and suicide in a nuanced way.

A Suitable Boy | Vikram Seth

I absolutely love this book! It as an example of fine storytelling and world-building! Vikram Seth creates a beautiful world set in the imaginary city of Brahmpur, in a post-partition India. I loved the inclusion of vivid imagery and details of the daily life of the characters, and even some of the politics occurring at that time. Those all created a very real world. The premise of the story is simple, yet beautifully intricate!
