Debut novel by Eliza Nellums. 6 year old Aiofe (pronounced Ee-fah not Eva) is on a quest with her imaginary bear Teddy, to investigate the death of her older brother Theo. If you enjoyed Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, you might enjoy this book.

Agent to the Stars | John Scalzi
Pickpick

John Scalzi always makes me laugh. Not many authors can get away with creating Jellyfish Goop looking Aliens. They need a good PR Hollywood agent to smooth the waters before they present themselves to the world of humans. Silly? Yes, but this author does it well.

Excellent read. Made me rethink what my retirement years may be like in the not too distance future. This book isn't about Baby Boomer.Snowbirds, living the dream of retirement. Ms. Bruder documents the reality of those who are living a nomadic lifestyle as work campers for Amazon and other companies because of economic hardships.

Excellent nonfiction look at those who work camp in their RV's. The assumption of happy retirees as king and queen of the road tooling about as seasonal snowbirds is not what this story is about.

The Dinner | Herman Koch
Pickpick

The Dinner by Herman Koch
Not a comfortable book to read, but had me thinking a long time afterwords. I don't want to be a spoiler, so all I will say is that it is an "unreliable narrator" well done

Flavia de Luce is always delightful. Precocious 11 year old 1950's era sleuth who loves to dabble in poisons always seems to be in the wrong place at the right time,.
