A Court of Silver Flames | Sarah J. Maas
Mehso-so

this book seemed sort of plotless, but at least not the romance part. it was predictable and there were no plot twists. but the only reason i give this 4 stars is bc of the end. the last fifty pages were crazy and i was ugly crying and then happy crying on the same page. it was weird. but the romance was nice. there was a lot of spicy scenes so.

it was very scary, and i like how the author wrote dual pov, giving insight to zades feelings too. though i feel it lacked plot. it was easy to figure out what was going to happen next, i feel there was no climax (except in the romance plot) and no resolution. and i understand the the author specifically wrote it to be a cliffhanger, i feel like it could have used more plot twists and surprises.

Pickpick

i already loved the hook and wendy idea, so i decided to give it a shot. and boy, was i happy. the romance was a little rushed, but not too much, enough to fit it throughout the novel. it's dual pov, so you got to see both mcs fall in love, and the end made me cry so hard. i love cheesy happy endings, and this totally gave it to me. also the way hook treats wendy makes my heart light up. it's adorable, but it's also a dark romance. beautiful book.

i read this book in no time. im a sucker for enemies to lovers and the fake dating tropes, and this totally trumped every other book i have read with these tropes. both main characters are likable, and the romance isn't rushed. it also feels very real, the fact that the mc is not perfect, and makes mistakes. i feel like the reader could make a connection to catalina. also aaron blackford is *chefs kiss*

Death Do Us Part | Miranda Grant

Panpan

i think it went a little quick; and although the book was only 350 pages, it took me six and a half hours to read. im a quick reader, and i can get a six hundred page book down in that time. but it seemed like the romance was rushed and had no climax, and there was barely any plot. it barely made any sense, and i struggled to keep interested. but the intimate scenes were pretty good, though i feel as if Arienna was forced to do it.
