Compelling story! I got annoyed with the heroine's choices towards the end but the build up was great. Could have done without a couple of alienating moments of linguistic chauvinism (apparently languages other than English are fake) and an ableist punchline that wasn't needed (when are they ever). But, overall definitely interested in trying more from this author.
