This was the novel I chose in my recent effort to 'get back into reading' again. I was specifically looking for prose that was poetic and at times I was blown away by the gorgeous writing, it was a joy to read. Needless to say, the subject matter was taboo, but I do enjoy reading about a character that is challenging.
