I feel like in this highlighted sentence, the mom is expressing that she knew daniel was gonna be a special person and attentive needed, so she quotes “Whatever happens, We‘ll Love him, just love him. My mother began to cry and my father squeezed her hand in his and nodded silently”.

I like the book in aspects because in some ways i related to it when i was younger.
