If you want to know everything about cancer and the people who brought current cancer research and care to the present state - look no further. IMO a bit too expansive of scope for the person of general interest and could've been ordered in a more helpful way to be educational.

A fantastic all-ages comics from Marvel, with one of my new favourite teams in fiction; Lunella/Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur. I want more of these two energetic and no-nonsense characters in my life! Also - Bustos art is so fantastically done in the fluidity of movement, and the colors are to die for. Recommend!

The best fiction I've read in 2017 so far has to be "The Notebook" by Agota Kristof. It's actually a part of a trilogy, but it's the first book that blew me away! Not for the faint hearted. #TGIFGIVEAWAY

Absolutely wonderful! From ancient to modern Chinese poetry (my favourites mainly being the work up to 12th century), great selection of poets & poems, excellent translation (as far as I can tell) by Arthur Sze in that the language flows without seeming to lose its essence. Wine, moon, human's relationship with nature, solitude, and so much more explored in this collection.

For some reason I find this book very comforting. I didn't think Allende's books would be for me but from what I've read so far of The Japanese Lover, it's not going to be the last of Allende I read.

Every single piece so far (essays, short stories, poems) have been amazing and thoughtprovoking. All creds to editor Yuka Igarashi for her excellent taste, in the choices for this collection! 🙌

Almost finished with this lovely musing on animal-human relationships. ❤️ I can see so much of my dog in the cats I read about, I wonder what that says about him.
