Mississippi literature is alive and well. Masterful collection by Mary Miller, 'Always Happy Hour.' Such flawed yet beautiful characters. Wonderful writing. Check it out.

A slow burning tale of memory, of things lost and finding a way to hold onto the past while struggling towards an uncertain future. The characters face the horrible costs of betrayal, from each other and from the world itself, and attempt to find redemption. Beautifully written, as Lent creates a seemingly peaceful world shattered by passion, war, and sudden violence.
