Learned Optimism: How to Change Your Mind and Your Life | Martin E.P. Seligman

This definitely was not the book I had hoped for. It seemed more into the research aspects of learned helplessness. It isn't a bad book, by any means... It was just more scientific and less helpful than I had hoped. It might not be that way for you, though. Maybe it will help.

Depression, I have argued, stems partly from an overcommitment to the self and an undercommitment to the common good.
