The Nightmare Charade
The Nightmare Charade | Mindee Arnett
2 posts | 3 read | 3 to read
16-year-old Dusty Everhart breaks into houses late at night, but not because she's a criminal. No, she's a Nightmare. Literally. Dusty is a magical being who feeds on human dreams. Being the only Nightmare at Arkwell Academy, a boarding school for magickind, and living in the shadow of her mother's infamy is hard enough, not to mention the crazy events of the past year. Dusty may have saved the day, but there are many days left in the year, and with an old foe back to seek revenge, she'll need all her strength to defeat him and save her friends. Mindee Arnett thrills again in The Nightmare Charade, the stunning final installment in the Arkwell Academy series. At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

Mehso-so

A decent end to a decent trilogy. Dusty & Eli were still adorable, & they had a lot of great chemistry throughout the series. I liked that the angsty part of their romance wasn‘t too overdone. The main plot itself was extremely predictable, though — I saw those final twists coming since the middle of book 2. All in all, this series isn‘t one that‘s going to change the world, but it is flirty, frivolous fun, & sometimes that‘s all you need. ★★★☆☆.

#currentlyreading | still feeling more or less ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about this series, but I still want to see how it ends.
