pickStonehouse (1272 - 1352) was trained as a Buddhist monk before he become a hermit and poet. His poems confront the same problems we find in contemporary life - people full of ambitions & noise- as well as familiar territory for poets and hermits - the natural world, the loneliness and pleasures of solitude. Red Pine adds commentary to his translations in a bilingual edition of the poems. Highly recommended.
