A second chance to finish what they started…When Keri Daniels's boss finds out she has previous carnal knowledge of reclusive bestselling author Joe Kowalski, she gives Keri a choice: get an interview or get a new job. Joe's never forgotten the first girl to break his heart, so he's intrigued to hear Keri's back in town—and looking for him. He proposes an outrageous plan—for every day she survives with his family on their annual camping trip, Keri can ask one question. The chemistry between Joe and Keri is as potent as the bug spray, but Joe's sister is out to avenge his broken heart, and Keri hasn't ridden an ATV since she was ten. Who knew a little blackmail, a whole lot of family and some sizzling romantic interludes could make Keri reconsider the old dream of Keri & Joe 2gether 4ever?

EXCLUSIVELY YOURS started so well that I wasn‘t even through the first chapter before I checked to see how many of Stacey‘s Kowalski books my library owns. I could really see myself binging.

Then, out of nowhere, the leads cracked a transphobic joke.

I hope the book can come back from it, but my opinion has definitely soured.

(On a happier note, my opinion of spicy Kraft Dinner is still glowingly positive.)

lovelybookshelf Ugh, I have no tolerance for transphobic crap like that. 😞 5y
xicanti @lovelybookshelf it‘s making it REALLY hard for me to sink back into the book. Looks like there‘s a good chance I‘ll bail on account of it. 5y

Is this something I can write to her and raise?

EloisaJames This could just be an author's pov but if she put it between the main characters (by definition, supposed to be lovable), then it reflects something she felt was truly funny. Very odd, given our times. 8y
AliBG Thanks @EloisaJames - I agree it's very odd. It was a throwaway joke, really meant to establish rapport between the two...so I think you're right, but that almost makes it worse. (edited) 8y

Part of my month of rereads, I'm diving back into the Kowalski family. I loved them even more this second time!

I loved this book! The family vacation made me fall in love with all of them! It's a reunion story between a Hollywood scoop reporter and a reclusive author, her her first love. He's never really gotten over her and she needs the scoop on him for her job. The chemistry was smokin hot but the romance was sweet and wonderful. Loved it!
