Pretty decent book haul.
No form of governance is safe in Steinbeck's satirical story of King Pippin IV of France. When France finds itself in need of a King, it selects an unsuspecting astronomer. The dialog between Pippin and his advisors keeps the story moving.
After a long day, I was happy to get my Bookishly package this month!
It has a bookmark with a lovely quote from The Secret Garden, some Rose tea, a pack of 8 watercolor leaf postcards, and this book, which I'd never heard of before! Is this the same Steinbeck that wrote Grapes of Wrath? I mean, I've never read anything by him (#badEnglishmajor), and I was so surprised when I unwrapped this book!
Looking forward to next month already! 😎
