A great story for Halloween, a Historical Fiction, TS's include RA, S, IR, GR, and PR .Set in the 1700's where a man, John Leep, was going evict a widow from one of his rental houses. While on his horse to evict that Widow, a strange presence is felt following him to his destination. This story has a great meaning of morality and greed behind it, and is a great read aloud book for Halloween.

JordanL http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/lesson-plans/thrills-chills-us... A lesson plan that can be slightly modified for this book, is a great way to analyze the book for it's elements and meaning. Giving an atmosphere on Halloween with UDL 1.3 and 1.2 can give students an immersive experience. ESOL 13 can help the students understand what the meanings were behind the story, and can allow for great comprehension. 7y
JenniferMc This looks like a fun read and a great addition to a classroom library. (edited) 7y
