There is a street in the town I grew up in called Donnybrook, and I never knew it was a word until a friend from out of town pointed it out. And I've loved the word ever since!

Donnybrook: a scene of uproar and disorder; a heated argument

#LinsyLovesLinsy @Linsy (congrats on your milestone! And thanks for #payingitforward with a fun giveaway!)

Linsy I LOVE this!! Seriously, I need to figure out when I can use this next. Probably the next time my husband goes to krav maga. (By the way, sorry I didn‘t respond earlier. It‘s been hectic. Thanks for participating!) (edited) 7y

Pickpick

All the meth addiction, pistol whipping and bare-knuckle batshit bonkers bloodletting of an Elmore Leonard fever dream without the humour. There is no let up here. Just a persistent pummeling of each character (and there're a whole bunch of characters). Fingers are broken against skulls, gun barrels are forced into mouths and the ending suggests that the whole thing is merely the prologue to whatever craziness the author is working on next. Wow.
