pickA collection of thoughts on disease, death, nature, art. A collection of memories (childhood, living and travelling abroad, love relationships). There‘s also a recurring warning not to bequeath nuclear waste to future generations. Mankell was a man of the highest integrity, one of the finest (crime) writers which shines through in this wonderful book. It was a joy to read and makes me want to explore everything he published.
