Death of King Arthur. Translated by Simon Armitage
Death of King Arthur. Translated by Simon Armitage | Simon Armitage

'The Alliterative Morte Arthure' - the title given to a 4000 line poem written sometime around 1400 - was part of a medieval Arthurian revival. Simon Armitage's new translation restores a neglected masterpiece of story-telling, by bringing vividly to life its entirely medieval mix of ruthlessness and restraint.

I am starting to like poetry. I am not that keen on ebooks....until now! I realised I can try out loans of e-poetry free from the library to see what I like. I am enjoying The Death of King Arthur by the Poet Laureate.
