A "New York Times" bestseller! When Tom's big brother decides to become an Evil Scientist, his first experiment involves dunking Frankie the goldfish into toxic green gunk. Tom knows that there is only one thing to do: Zap the fish with a battery and bring him back to life! But there's something weird about the new Frankie. He's now a BIG FAT ZOMBIE GOLDFISH with hypnotic powers . . . and he's out for revenge!

My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish by Mo O‘Hara is a MF novel great for LC or IT & is a NY Times best seller. I picked it up at Kohl‘s for $5 and my son & I couldn‘t put it down. This is the story of how Tom‘s brother decides to become an evil scientist & turns Frankie, the goldfish, into a zombie goldfish. Tom knows that zapping the fish with a battery will bring him back to life, but Frankie has hypnotic powers now & is out for revenge! #UCFLAE3414SP18

WendyV I really enjoyed reading this book with my son, and I think it would be great for any student to use for IR. It‘s easy to follow and with such a fun story, it‘s exciting to read. I found this interesting article on how IR in the classroom is critical for student achievement.

I‘m glad I now own this book and can add it to my future classroom library!

WendyV By allowing a book like this for IR or LC , I‘m using UDL 7.1 to optimize students engagement by letting them self select their book. This book has a lot of events that take place throughout the story. I could use EL strategy 42 and have students create a timeline to arrange the important facts and information as they read. 6y
DrSpalding Wendy, I think you are ready for the classroom! The experiences you‘re providing with your own children, show that you have what it takes to implement best practices with children. Citing the National Education Association website is fantastic! So well done 6y

Bookmail kid style ... these are not our typical reads we are keeping Alien in Pocket to try the science experiments. Donating the other two to kids reading program.
